Tomo Sushi & Teriyaki

I think (once again my opinion) whenever a Japanese restaurant’s name have the word ‘teriyaki’ on it, it will either a Chinese owner or the menu is Westernized. Tomo is Westernized (you can kind of tell it from the salad too). No, its not because American likes eating teriyaki sauce, >>. Oh wait, nevermind, they do. Anyways, they have TONS of different kind of rolls which like 80% of it is Westernized lol. Nothing wrong with it, a lot of them were pretty interesting. We got the teriyaki items since surprisingly, none of us wanted sushi (can’t even take a pic of it lol).

My favorite milk tea place (I wish I lived closer). Their milk tea taste is PERFECT for me lol FOR ME! Perfect balance from ice to sweetness without me saying anything. Plus they have tea eggs so that is a HUGE plus for me.

Wow, this place will make you fill out of place if you wore jeans even though the attire is casual (we were business casual). Every dish was unique and you can tell it is Asian Fusion. Sometimes it will be either too Western or too Eastern but this place did a pretty good job. A little of Chinese and Japanese. Grilling the meat on the hot stone was the highlight of this meal lol.

On the Bridge

Address: 1581 Webster St, Ste 205, San Francisco, CA 94115

One of the most authentic Japanese curry and pizza restaurant in San Francisco, I think. The chef have been at Japantown’s bridge (hence the name, on the bridge) for as long as I can remember! It always have an anime playing on TV and if you rather read manga, then you can too. Tons of manga next to tables. It is in Japanese but you look at pictures anyways. Please be sure to treat the mangas nicely and put it back where you found them. Definitely recommend the garlic loco moco. DELICIOUS! MUST TRY!

candybar (Closed)

There are so many Hong Kong desserts spots in SF, especially Richmond and Sunset district that it gets kind of repetitive for dessert choices. Then I found out about this place (very sad they closed) and it was so perfect (especially since they were close to Richmond district and not downtown). Great/perfect place for girls’ night out.

The Pot’s

Address: 2652 Judah St, San Francisco, CA 94122

I think compare to most hot pot places, this is more ‘traditional hot pot‘ to all you can eat hot pot. You know, before all the sauce bars where you mix your own sauce (which I LOVE, don’t get me wrong lol)  and the marinated meats, it was just simple raw meat and veggies and throw it in the pot. There A LOT more broth choices than most place I been to and also more choices for veggies, noodles and balls lol don’t forget the balls. I recommend this place for hot pot lovers that are more into eating other ingredients than just meat. (It was a few years back when I came here, so not sure how much they changed

Look at that salad bar?! Holy moly! It is bigger than most buffet places I been too! Awesome salad best, I think the best I have seen so far. Tons of choices, some I never even heard of lol. And then the meat, OMG, it was delicious! Strangely the best one was the pineapple lol. I really like how you have a sign to tell them if you want more meat and then they come to your table and cut it right in front of you. It is like high class all you can eat buffet (yes, it is all you can eat). It is a little pricey but with the salad bar and the quality of the meat, it is SO worth. Highly recommended especially for special occasions.esp2

The nacho was HUGE as you can see. I am not sure if it is because I grew up eating (processed) nacho cheese but I don’t really like my nachos with actual melted cheese. It gets hard after awhile and so the bottom chips don’t have cheese on it lol. But it was very delicious on top.

Cafe Mocca (Closed)

My first time eating outside of a restaurant. I always eat inside but this place is located on Maiden Lane (a very pretty alleyway) that has chairs and tables specially for the restaurants located at that lane. The menu was pretty limited but a lot of different ‘salad’ to choose from. The food was good (escargot was delicious) and I like the interior and ambiance in this place. Too bad they are closed (I believe it is due to the lease ‘sigh’).

Masa’s (Closed)

The interior was very beautiful and kind of exaggerated in a way. The food was good but nothing out of the ordinary. It was the first time I had legit goat cheese (cheese board for dessert) and it was disgusting to me (no offense). I think it’s the first time I actually had to spit out something. My big sister loves it though lol. Funny how we are twins yet we have different tastes. That is why from now on, I will bring her along to wine bar so she can try the cheese (I’ll try a tiny bit) lol.

This place is a really popular place to hold a wedding banquet. Both pictures are from wedding lol. The top picture was my  friend’s wedding and the bottom picture is my cousins wedding. The pictures are 3 years apart. It was mediocre and most of it was prepare ahead of time, SO I will have to come here for an actual meal in order for me to blog about this place. Until next time!
